Description

This Three-Cheese Spinach Artichoke Dip is a creamy, cheesy appetizer featuring a blend of cream cheese, sour cream, mayo, and three cheeses with spinach and artichokes. Baked until golden and bubbly, it’s perfect for parties, game days, or casual gatherings, served warm with chips or fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale

Dairy & Condiments

  • 1 (8‑oz.) package 1/3‑less‑fat cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 8 oz Monterey Jack cheese, shredded (≈ 2 cups), divided
  • 3 oz Parmesan cheese, finely shredded (≈ 1 cup), divided

Spices & Flavorings

  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons grated lemon zest (from 1 lemon)
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt

Vegetables

  • 2 (14‑oz.) cans chopped artichoke hearts, drained (≈ 3 cups)
  • 1 (15‑oz.) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and coat a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix Base Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon zest, and kosher salt until the mixture is mostly smooth and creamy.
  3. Add Vegetables and Cheese: Fold in the drained artichoke hearts, thawed and squeezed-dry spinach, 1 ½ cups of shredded Monterey Jack, and 2/3 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese gently to combine everything evenly.
  4. Transfer to Baking Dish: Spoon the combined mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly to create a smooth surface.
  5. Add Topping Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of Monterey Jack and 1/3 cup of Parmesan cheese evenly over the top to create a golden crust after baking.
  6. Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the dip is golden on top and bubbly around the edges.
  7. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve hot with your choice of chips or fresh crudités for dipping.

Notes

  • Make sure to squeeze out excess water from the thawed spinach to prevent a watery dip.
  • You can adjust the hot sauce to taste for milder or spicier flavor.
  • This dip can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
  • Serve with pita chips, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetable sticks like carrots and bell peppers.
