Description

This Tasty Spinach and Feta Flatbread Pizza is a quick and delicious homemade pizza that combines fresh spinach, tangy feta, and melty mozzarella on a crisp flatbread base. Perfect for a light lunch or easy dinner, it bakes in just 10 minutes and offers a delightful blend of savory flavors with a crispy texture.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 1 piece flatbread

Cheese & Dairy

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese

Vegetables & Herbs

  • 1/2 cup torn fresh spinach
  • 1/2 cup sliced red onion
  • 3 cloves sliced garlic

Seasoning & Oils

  • Extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
  • Garlic powder (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • Sea salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it reaches the perfect temperature for crisping the flatbread and melting the cheese evenly.
  2. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and place the flatbread on it, creating a stable base for your pizza toppings.
  3. Add Mozzarella & Seasoning: Spread the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the flatbread surface. Sprinkle garlic powder and black pepper over the cheese for an extra burst of flavor.
  4. Layer Vegetables & Feta: Distribute the torn fresh spinach, sliced red onion, and sliced garlic cloves evenly on top of the mozzarella. Then, sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese over the vegetables. Finish by sprinkling a pinch of sea salt to enhance the flavors.
  5. Drizzle Olive Oil & Bake: Lightly drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the entire flatbread to aid in browning and add richness. Place the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the flatbread edges turn golden and crispy.
  6. Cool & Serve: Remove the flatbread pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly for a few minutes. Slice into wedges and serve warm for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • For a crispier base, consider pre-toasting the flatbread for 3-4 minutes before adding toppings.
  • You can substitute fresh spinach with baby arugula or kale for a different flavor profile.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic to your taste preference or swap fresh sliced garlic for garlic powder entirely.
  • Use gluten-free flatbread if you require a gluten-free option.
  • This recipe can be customized with other toppings such as olives, sun-dried tomatoes, or mushrooms.
