Description

This refreshing Strawberry Fluff Salad is a delightful combination of sweet strawberries, tangy Jell-O, creamy vanilla pudding, and fluffy whipped topping, mixed with crushed pineapple and mini marshmallows for a light, airy dessert. Perfect for potlucks, barbecues, or anytime you want a sweet and fruity treat that’s easy to make and fun to eat.

Ingredients

Scale

Gelatin Base

  • 3 ounces strawberry Jell-O Mix (1 box)
  • 1 cup hot water
  • ½ cup cold water

Creamy Pudding Mix

  • 3.4 ounces instant vanilla pudding (1 box)

Whipped Topping

  • 8 ounces whipped topping (like Cool Whip) (1 tub)

Fruits and Mix-ins

  • 24 ounces fresh strawberries, hulled, halved, and sliced
  • 20 ounces crushed pineapple, drained
  • 10 ounces mini marshmallows (1 bag)

Instructions

  1. Dissolve Jell-O in hot water: In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the strawberry Jell-O mix in 1 cup of hot water. Stir continuously until the mixture is fully dissolved and smooth.
  2. Add cold water and chill: Stir in ½ cup of cold water to the dissolved Jell-O. Place the bowl in the refrigerator and chill for about 30 minutes or until the mixture becomes slightly thickened but not fully set.
  3. Mix in pudding and chill again: Once the Jell-O mixture has thickened, add the instant vanilla pudding mix to the bowl. Stir thoroughly until the pudding mix is fully combined with the Jell-O. Return the bowl to the refrigerator and chill for another 30 minutes to allow the mixture to set further.
  4. Fold in whipped topping: Gently fold the whipped topping into the thickened Jell-O and pudding mixture. Use a spatula to carefully combine so as not to deflate the airy texture from the whipped topping.
  5. Add strawberries, pineapple, and marshmallows: Incorporate the prepared fresh strawberries, drained crushed pineapple, and mini marshmallows into the mixture. Fold gently until the fruit and marshmallows are evenly distributed throughout the salad.
  6. Chill for 2 hours: Transfer the completed salad mixture to a serving bowl or dish. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow all the flavors to meld together and the salad to set completely.
  7. Serve and enjoy: After chilling, serve the Strawberry Fluff Salad in individual bowls or on a serving platter. Enjoy this light, fluffy, and flavorful dessert.

Notes

  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor and texture.
  • Make sure to drain the crushed pineapple well to avoid excess liquid diluting the salad.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute the whipped topping and pudding with suitable alternatives.
  • Chilling in stages helps achieve the perfect fluffy texture.
  • Marshmallows add a soft chewiness that complements the creamy and fruity elements.
  • Can be prepared a day ahead and stored covered in the refrigerator.
