Description

A refreshing and vibrant pomegranate lemonade combining tangy lemon juice with sweet pomegranate for a perfect summer drink. Naturally sweetened with honey, this beverage can be served sparkling or still, making it a delightful thirst quencher for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Juice and Sweetener

  • 5 lemons, juiced
  • 1/3 cup honey (or other vegan honey substitute)
  • 1 cup water

Pomegranate

  • 1 1/2 cups pomegranate arils (seeds) or 1 cup pomegranate juice

Additional Liquid

  • 3-4 cups water or sparkling water

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients: Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice, honey, 1 cup of water, and pomegranate arils to a blender. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth, ensuring the flavors combine well.
  2. Strain Mixture: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a jug or pitcher to separate and remove the pulp and hard parts of the pomegranate seeds, resulting in a smooth lemonade base.
  3. Mix and Serve: Stir in the remaining 3 to 4 cups of water or sparkling water to achieve your preferred consistency and taste. Serve chilled with lemon slices, ice cubes, and additional pomegranate arils for garnish and extra flavor.

Notes

  • You can substitute honey with agave syrup or maple syrup for a vegan version.
  • Adjust the amount of water or sparkling water according to your taste preferences for sweetness and tartness.
  • For an extra chilled experience, refrigerate the lemonade before serving.
  • Pomegranate juice can be used instead of seeds if you prefer a smoother texture and quicker preparation.
