Description

This Peppermint Marshmallow Latte is a festive and cozy coffee treat perfect for holiday mornings or any time you crave a sweet, minty coffee indulgence. Combining rich Nespresso coffee with a creamy peppermint marshmallow creamer and topped with peppermint-spiked whipped cream, it delivers comforting flavors with a delightful candy cane garnish.

Coffee Base

  • 2 cups Nespresso coffee, brewed hot
  • 1 teaspoon crushed candy canes (for garnish)
  • 2 whole candy canes (for garnish)

Peppermint Marshmallow Creamer

  • 1/2 cup half & half cream (10% fat)
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

Peppermint Whipped Cream

  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream (35% fat), cold
  • 1 tablespoon icing sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract


Instructions

  1. Brew Coffee: Brew 2 cups of Nespresso coffee using your machine and keep it hot for serving.
  2. Heat Half & Half: In a small saucepan, heat the half & half cream over medium heat until bubbles start to form around the edges, but do not boil.
  3. Melt Marshmallows: Add mini marshmallows to the heated half & half and whisk continuously until the marshmallows are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Add Peppermint Extract: Stir in 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract into the creamer, then remove the saucepan from heat.
  5. Whip Heavy Cream: In a chilled bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until it starts to thicken but is not fully stiff.
  6. Sweeten and Flavor Whipped Cream: Add icing sugar and 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract to the whipped cream and continue whipping to your desired consistency, forming soft peaks.
  7. Combine Coffee and Creamer: Pour the peppermint marshmallow creamer into the hot brewed coffee and stir gently to combine.
  8. Top with Whipped Cream: Spoon or pipe the peppermint whipped cream on top of the latte for a creamy finish.
  9. Garnish: Sprinkle crushed candy canes over the whipped cream and add a whole candy cane as a festive stirrer.
