Ingredients
Scale
Tapioca Pearls
- ยฝ Cup tapioca pearls (cooked)
- Water (enough to fill half your pot for boiling the pearls)
Brown Sugar Syrup
- ยฝ Cup brown sugar
- 2-3 Tablespoons water
Milk Tea
- 3 Cups milk (whole milk or preferred non-dairy alternative)
- Ice cubes (optional, for serving chilled)
Instructions
- Cook Tapioca Pearls: Bring a pot of water to a boil, ensuring it is enough to fill half the pot. Add the tapioca pearls and cook following the package instructions, usually around 10-15 minutes, until the pearls become transparent and chewy. Drain and rinse with cold water to halt further cooking.
- Prepare Brown Sugar Syrup: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar and 2-3 tablespoons of water. Stir continuously for about 5-7 minutes until the syrup thickens and turns a rich caramel color.
- Assemble the Tiger Milk Tea: Place the cooked tapioca pearls into a glass. Pour in 3 cups of milk and stir gently to combine with the pearls. Add ice cubes if desired for a chilled beverage. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Tiger Milk Tea.
Notes
- Make sure to rinse the tapioca pearls thoroughly after cooking to prevent them from sticking together.
- Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of brown sugar syrup according to taste.
- For a vegan version, use plant-based milk such as almond, oat, or soy milk.
- Serve immediately to enjoy the best texture of the pearls and freshness of the drink.
