Description

A warm and spicy cocktail combining hot apple cider with Fireball whiskey, perfectly garnished with cinnamon sugar, apple slices, cinnamon sticks, and star anise for a cozy, festive drink.

Ingredients

Scale

Drink

  • 5 ounces Hot Apple Cider
  • 2 ounces Fireball Whiskey
  • 1 ounce Cool Apple Cider (optional garnish)

Garnishes

  • Cinnamon Sugar (optional garnish)
  • Red Apple Slices (optional garnish)
  • Cinnamon Sticks (optional garnish)
  • Whole Star Anise (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass Rim: Pour about 1 ounce of cool apple cider onto a small plate and dip the rim of your glass into it to moisten the edge.
  2. Coat the Rim with Cinnamon Sugar: Place cinnamon sugar on a clean plate and carefully press the moistened glass rim into the cinnamon sugar, evenly coating it without smudging.
  3. Add Fireball Whiskey: Pour 2 ounces of Fireball whiskey into the glass gently, making sure the cinnamon sugar rim remains intact and does not wash away.
  4. Pour Hot Apple Cider: Add 5 ounces of hot apple cider to the glass, allowing the drink to naturally mix together.
  5. Arrange Apple Garnish: Stack three thin red apple slices on a cocktail pick, fan them out, and rest the pick on the front side of the glass slightly to one side.
  6. Add Final Garnishes: Place a cinnamon stick inside the glass opposite the apple fan and add a couple of whole star anise for extra aroma and visual appeal.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Present the beautifully garnished warm cocktail and enjoy its spicy, sweet flavors.

Notes

  • Ensure the hot apple cider is warm but not boiling to maintain the flavor balance.
  • Cinnamon sugar on the rim adds a sweet and spicy contrast to the drink’s warmth.
  • The cool apple cider used for the rim prevents the cinnamon sugar from dissolving prematurely.
  • You can adjust the amount of Fireball whiskey to your preferred strength.
  • Garnishes are optional but add to both the flavor and presentation.
