Description

This Easy Melon Cooler is a refreshing, hydrating beverage made with honeydew melon, Persian cucumbers, lime juice and zest, fresh mint, and a pinch of kosher salt. Blended to a frothy perfection and strained for a smooth texture, this cooler is perfect for a quick, healthy drink on warm days. Itโ€™s simple to prepare, naturally sweet, and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days.

Ingredients

Scale

Melon Cooler Ingredients

  • 1/2 medium honeydew, de-seeded and cubed
  • 3 Persian cucumbers, roughly chopped
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1 tbsp lime zest (about 1 medium lime)
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: De-seed and cube half a medium honeydew melon. Roughly chop the Persian cucumbers and zest and juice the limes. Gather fresh mint leaves and measure the water and kosher salt.
  2. Blend Everything: Add the honeydew cubes, chopped cucumbers, lime juice and zest, fresh mint leaves, kosher salt, and water to a high-speed blender. Blend on medium-high speed for 2 to 3 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy and well combined.
  3. Strain the Cooler: Pour the blended mixture through a nut milk bag or a fine mesh sieve into a bowl to remove pulp and create a smooth liquid.
  4. Store and Serve: Transfer the strained melon cooler into a glass jar with a lid and refrigerate. It can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Serve chilled for maximum refreshment.

Notes

  • Use a high-speed blender for best results and smooth texture.
  • Straining is optional but recommended for a silky smooth drink without pulp.
  • Adjust the lime juice and salt to taste depending on your preference.
  • Store leftovers in a sealed container and consume within 3 days for freshness.
