Description

These Easy Cheesy Breadsticks are a quick and delicious appetizer or snack perfect for any occasion. Made with refrigerated pizza dough, garlic butter, and a blend of mozzarella and parmesan cheese, they bake up golden and gooey in just 25 minutes. Ideal for sharing and customizable with your favorite herbs and seasonings.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Breadsticks

  • 10 oz. can refrigerated pizza crust dough
  • 1 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to ensure proper browning and melting of the cheese.
  2. Prepare the Dough: Lay the refrigerated pizza dough out flat on a piece of parchment paper. Shape it into a rectangle that roughly matches the size of your baking sheet for even baking.
  3. Flavor with Butter & Garlic: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter and minced garlic. Generously brush this mixture all over the surface of the pizza dough to infuse it with rich, garlicky flavor.
  4. Add Seasonings: Sprinkle the dough evenly with salt, pepper, and dried basil. This will add layers of flavor to each breadstick.
  5. Add the Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese over the entire surface of the dough, ensuring even coverage for cheesy perfection.
  6. Cut the Breadsticks: Using a pizza cutter, slice the dough into long strips, then cut in half across to form breadstick shapes. Do not separate the dough at this stage; leave the cut lines as guides during baking.
  7. Bake: Slide the parchment (with dough) onto your baking sheet, and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden brown.
  8. Separate and Serve: Once baked, separate the breadsticks along pre-cut lines. Serve warm, optionally with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking and facilitate easy transfer to the baking sheet.
  • Do not separate the breadsticks before baking to maintain shape and even cooking.
  • For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes or Italian seasoning before baking.
  • Serve with marinara or ranch dipping sauce for a tasty accompaniment.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven for best texture.
