Ingredients
Scale
Pasta
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
Lobster & Sauce
- 1 lb lobster meat, cooked and chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Garnish & Serving
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
- Sauté garlic: In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and lightly golden, about 1-2 minutes, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Add lobster meat: Stir in the cooked lobster meat and cook for 2-3 minutes to warm through and infuse the garlic flavor.
- Make the cream sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Allow the sauce to thicken slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add Parmesan cheese: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time to reach desired consistency.
- Toss pasta with sauce: Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and gently toss to coat the pasta evenly with the lobster cream sauce.
- Garnish and serve: Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the pasta.
Notes
- For best lobster flavor, use fresh or high-quality cooked lobster meat.
- Be careful not to overcook the garlic to avoid bitterness.
- You can substitute fettuccine with linguine or spaghetti if preferred.
- Adding a squeeze of lemon juice enhances the richness of the cream sauce.
- If desired, add a pinch of red pepper flakes for subtle heat.
