Smoothie Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups ripe cubed avocado, frozen*
- 1 ½ cups raspberries, frozen
- 1 ½ cups vanilla almond milk or milk of choice
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 2 large handfuls fresh spinach
- 1–2 tablespoons maple syrup or sweetener of choice
- 1 small banana, frozen* (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Blender: Pour 1 ¼ cup of the milk into the bottom of the blender to help the blades move smoothly during blending.
- Add Ingredients: Layer the frozen avocado, raspberries, cocoa powder, fresh spinach, and optionally the frozen banana on top of the milk. You can hold off on adding the sweetener at this point if desired.
- Blend Smooth: Blend on high speed until the mixture reaches a smooth and creamy consistency. If the smoothie is too thick, gradually add an additional ¼ to ½ cup of milk until your preferred texture is achieved.
- Sweeten to Taste: Taste the smoothie and add maple syrup or your preferred sweetener as needed to balance the tartness of the raspberries.
- Serve Immediately: Pour into glasses and enjoy this fresh, nutritious smoothie right away for the best flavor and texture.
