Ingredients
Scale
Big Mac Sauce
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup dill pickle relish
- 2 Tablespoons finely minced white onion (or dried minced onion)
- 1 Tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Burger Bowls
- 1/2 cup diced white onion
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Chopped romaine lettuce
- Freshly grated cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- Sliced cherry tomatoes
- Sliced dill pickles
- Cooked potato wedges or French fries
- Sliced red onion (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Big Mac Sauce: In a medium-size bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, dill pickle relish, finely minced white onion, yellow mustard, paprika, and garlic powder until smooth and thoroughly combined. Cover the bowl and refrigerate to let the flavors meld while you prepare the rest of the dish.
- Cook the Ground Beef and Onions: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the diced white onion and ground beef. Cook, crumbling the beef with a spatula, until the meat is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease from the skillet to keep the dish lean.
- Season the Beef: Reduce the heat to low. Season the cooked beef mixture with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Stir well and continue to cook on low heat for about 5 more minutes to allow the flavors to combine thoroughly.
- Assemble the Cheeseburger Bowls: Divide the cooked beef and onions evenly into 4 medium-sized serving bowls. Top each bowl with a generous amount of chopped romaine lettuce, freshly grated cheddar cheese, sliced cherry tomatoes, sliced dill pickles, and optional sliced red onion. Add cooked potato wedges or French fries on the side or on top according to preference.
- Serve with Big Mac Sauce: Drizzle the prepared Big Mac sauce over the top of each bowl just before serving. Enjoy your flavorful cheeseburger bowls that capture the essence of a classic burger in a healthy and low-carb format!
Notes
- You can substitute dried minced onion for fresh minced onion in the sauce if needed.
- Use lean ground beef to reduce excess grease in the dish.
- Feel free to customize the toppings with your favorite burger additions like pickled jalapeños or avocado slices.
- Cooked potato wedges or fries can be baked, air-fried, or fried according to your preference.
- Leftover Big Mac sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week in an airtight container.
