Ingredients
Scale
Chicken and Bacon
- 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into very thin strips
- 1/3 cup chopped bacon
- 1-2 teaspoons seasoning salt (or any seasoning blend you like)
Other Ingredients
- 1/2 cup crispy fried onions (more or less to taste)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (more or less to taste)
- Butter or iceberg lettuce leaves
- 8 to 10 8-inch flour tortillas, warmed
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup ranch salad dressing (or more to taste)
Instructions
- Cook bacon and chicken: In a large non-stick skillet over medium to medium-high heat, add chopped bacon and cook until it starts to crisp. Add the sliced chicken strips and seasoning salt or blend, making sure the chicken is not crowded in the pan. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and the juices run clear, and the bacon is fully cooked.
- Add onions and cheese: Lower the heat to low and sprinkle the crispy fried onions and shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken and bacon mixture in the skillet. Continue cooking gently until the cheese melts and everything is well combined.
- Assemble the wraps: Lay out the warmed flour tortillas and place several butter or iceberg lettuce leaves on each. Spoon a generous amount of the chicken, bacon, onion, and cheese mixture onto the lettuce. Top with sliced avocado and drizzle with ranch salad dressing. Roll up the tortillas tightly to form wraps and serve immediately.
Notes
- Note 1: Slicing the chicken into very thin strips helps it cook quickly and evenly.
- Note 2: Seasoning salt can be substituted with your favorite seasoning blend for added flavor customization.
- Note 3: The amount of crispy fried onions can be adjusted based on your preference for crunchiness.
- Note 4: Avoid overcrowding the skillet to ensure the chicken cooks properly and browns well.
