Description

  • 5 lemons, juiced
  • 1/3 cup honey (or other vegan honey substitute)
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup water

  • 3 cups water (or 2 cups water and 2 cups sparkling water)
  • Fresh blueberries, for garnish
  • Fresh lemon slices, for garnish
  • Ice (optional)


Instructions

  1. Juice and Prepare Ingredients: Juice 5 lemons until you have fresh lemon juice ready. Gather the fresh blueberries and measure out the honey and water for blending.
  2. Blend Ingredients: Add the lemon juice, honey, fresh blueberries, and 1 cup of water (use plain water here, do not add sparkling water) to your blender. Blend on high speed until smooth, ensuring all ingredients are fully combined and the blueberries are pureed.
  3. Strain and Mix: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher to remove any pulp or seeds, creating a smooth lemonade base. Add the remaining water (either plain or a mix of water and sparkling water) to the pitcher and stir well to combine.
  4. Serve and Garnish: Fill glasses with ice if desired, then pour the blueberry lemonade over the ice. Garnish each glass with fresh blueberries and lemon slices. Top off with additional sparkling water for a fizzy effect if preferred.

Notes

  • Use a vegan honey substitute to keep the drink vegan friendly.
  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey according to taste.
  • For a sparkling lemonade, replace part or all of the remaining water with sparkling water just before serving to maintain fizz.
