Description

This easy and flavorful 3-Ingredient Tomato and Boursin Pasta combines tender spaghetti with a rich marinara sauce blended with creamy Boursin cheese for a quick and satisfying meal that can be ready in just 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 (16-ounce) package spaghetti
  • 1 (24-ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 (5.2-ounce) package Boursin Cheese (Garlic and Fine Herbs or Basil and Chive flavor)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Prepare the spaghetti according to the package instructions in salted boiling water. Do not drain the pasta once cooked; keep some pasta water with it.
  2. Warm the Marinara Sauce: While the pasta is cooking, pour the marinara sauce into a large skillet and heat it over medium heat until warmed through.
  3. Add Boursin Cheese: Add the Boursin cheese to the warmed marinara sauce. Use a spoon to break up the cheese and stir continuously to help it melt evenly into the sauce.
  4. Simmer Sauce: Lower the heat to a gentle simmer and keep stirring until the Boursin cheese fully melts and integrates with the marinara sauce, creating a creamy, flavorful sauce.
  5. Combine Pasta and Sauce: When the pasta is al dente, transfer it directly from the pot to the skillet with the sauce using tongs or a pasta fork, allowing excess pasta water to drain back into the pot. Toss the pasta in the sauce thoroughly to coat.
  6. Season and Serve: Taste the pasta and add additional salt if needed. Serve the pasta warm as a delicious main dish or side.

Notes

  • You can use any flavor of Boursin cheese, but Garlic and Fine Herbs or Basil and Chive work best with marinara.
  • Reserve some pasta water before transferring pasta to sauce if you want to loosen the sauce for a silkier texture.
  • For added protein, serve with grilled chicken or sautéed shrimp.
  • This recipe is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner with minimal ingredients.
